Brief

Stride's Winter 2024 CCS project focuses on creating an educational game to teach chemistry, specifically stoichiometry, in an engaging way. The game will align with K12 standards, combining interactive learning with game mechanics like fuel calculations for cargo weights and distances.

Problem statement

Complex topics like stoichiometry can be hard for students to understand through traditional methods. The goal is to develop an accessible, interactive game that simplifies learning, engages students, and integrates seamlessly into Stride's digital curriculum.

OUTcome

This project deepened my understanding of designing for diverse learners, working within real-world curriculum constraints, and aligning educational goals with engaging gameplay. I learned how to balance pedagogical intent with UX clarity and how to communicate design decisions to both educators and developers, enhancing my ability to adapt across stakeholder needs.
